Dr. Abha Khetarpal

I have devoted over 35 years of my life to teaching and nurturing the discipline of Home Science, with a special focus on Foods and Nutrition. For me, education has always been more than the transmission of knowledge—it has been a means of empowering young minds and contributing meaningfully to society.My academic journey has also been enriched by my Fellowship from the Indian Institute of Dance Studies, Shimla, which broadened my understanding of the deep connect between knowledge, culture, creativity and human development.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of organising and participating in numerous national and international conferences, workshops, seminars, colloquia and academic forums, bringing together scholars, educators and professionals for meaningful exchange of ideas.

Home Science has been not merely my profession, but a lifelong passion and purpose—a field through which I have sought to connect science with everyday life and education with human wellbeing.
